Why did you decide to become a teacher?

When I was in fourth grade, I decided that I was going to become a teacher. I enjoy communicating difficult themes and breaking them down in a way that's easy to understand.

What do you like most about teaching?

I love the passion and joy that comes when a student finally understands a concept that's always been a struggle for them. Those 'ah-ha' moments are the best.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your free time?

I love spending time with my family. I enjoy downhill skiing, biking, hiking, and going to the gym every chance I get.

My name is Nick Sizoo-Roberson, but my students call me Mr. S-R. I came to Colorado for college at Western State Colorado University. I have four older sisters who are all educators. Geographically, my closest family is in San Francisco, and my furthest sister lives in Ireland. I believe traveling to other countries and experiencing different cultures has shaped the human I am today. The 22-23 school year is my sixth year teaching 5th Grade. My two happiest places are inside my classroom with students and skiing through the trees at local resorts. I’m thrilled to live in such a beautiful part of the world, and I'm excited to contribute to the excellent work CVE has established.
